In-game, you can only preview individual pieces of armor. All pieces, with the exception of the helmet, are very common and can be found throughout Skyrim from the beginning of the game. Armor protects your character only while they’re wearing it. The original composition was described as 50% clean granite of half-inch size, 43% of limestone mineral, and 7% of bitumen.
